Racines, 650 Sherman Street, which is one of the participating restaurants, was hopping today at lunch with bed heads clad in their best sleeping suits. Jamie Van Leeuwen, executive director of Denver's Road Home, was there in his orange tee-shirt, satiny bottoms, robe and animal slippers. "The community has really responded to what we're doing, and they're having a lot of fun in the process," he told me. According to Van Leeuwen, who hopes to raise $750,000 for the Road Home initiative, now in its fifth year, more than 62 local businesses jumped on board to feed the cause.
