Tomorrow we'll pick the best tip left on our original DRW contest post by a diner, as well as the best tip offered by a restaurant employee, and award the authors of each $52.80 to use as they choose -- ideally, at a restaurant during DRW.

Although maybe not a restauraurant participating in DRW....

In the meantime, some advice from LB:

Here's a tip! Go to Fruition, which doesn't participate. Get a great meal, with great service, while supporting a local business. This will beat any restaurant trying to serve 2-3x their usual volume, at half their typical cost...

It's true that Fruition is not participating -- but then, Fruition is so tiny and so popular it doesn't need any bump from DRW. Other restaurants skipping the annual eating orgay are more surprising: Bittersweet, for example. But close to 300 other restaurants are; find the full list here.
