Owners Patrick and Julie Shaw are selling the business, which they opened almost two and a half years ago, to Dorina Miller, a former school eacher. And to celebrate, Red Trolley is offering up some weekend deals.
From today until closing time Sunday, diners who stop by can order $4 hot dogs (with chips and a soda) and $3 half-pints of ice cream. And if you're planning a large gathering, the shop is charging $20 for eight half pints, which also come with a highly mobile red cooler bag.
Miller officially takes over the space on Monday, November 22, but the Shaws aren't going too far. "They'll keep the building," says Red Trolley manager Aaron Quinby. "They're just selling the business."
And while there will be some changes in the future, the eatery promises that the gelato will stay.
