Wednesday, June 25June is Fruit Beer Cask Month at the Copper Kettle, which taps a new firkin each Wednesday. Today's is Blueberry Hefeweizen. Ckrepes will serve food at 3 p.m.
Goose Island representatives are in Denver for "Migration Week," and they're serving their lineup, including some rarities, at various locations. Today, they'll be at the Giggling Grizzly from 6 to 9 p.m. for a tap takeover.
Friday, June 27
Jake's Brew Bar will host a mini tap takeover with Almanac Beer Company today as part of the San Francisco brewery's launch in Colorado. Beers will include Farmer's Reserve Blackberry, a 7 percent sour blonde aged with blackberries in wine barrels; Dogpatch Strawberry, a 7.5 percent sour blonde aged with strawberries in wine barrels; a 7.5 percent West Coast-style IPA; Golden Gate Gose, a 5 percent gose brewed with coriander and salt; and Honey Saison, brewed with honey and ginger root.

Beryl's Beer Company will celebrate its grand opening at 3120-C Blake Street in RiNo today starting at 11 a.m. There will be live music and the Capt'n Crabby food truck.
Renegade Brewing will celebrate its third anniversary today with a block party from 3 to 10 p.m. in the 900 block of West Ninth Avenue in front of the brewery. There will be music all day (at 3:30 CP Carrington, 5:30 Holly Lovell, 7 p.m.The Way, The Arrow, 8:30 The Knew), food trucks (Matt's Snack Shack, Baba & Pop's Kitchen, Slider Shack 303, Em's Ice Cream), ice cream, and tons of beer. There is no entrance fee and all beers, including the regular lineup and a few hits from the past year, are $5. A free bike valet will be provided by the Denver Bicycle Cafe.
Freshcraft will tap Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA today at 1 p.m. as part of a new series of rare beers tappings that it will hold over the next few weeks.
Front Range Brewing in Lafayette is celebrating its first anniversary by taking over the back pavilion of the Jax/Lafayette Marketplace. There will be seven special beer tappings, food specials including beer cupcakes from Juliana's Bakery and a pig roast from Lunada, and three live bands. The music kicks off at noon with Big Hibiscus on the pavilion followed by Wall of Records; Ash Ganley brings it inside at 6 p.m. The special tappings include an aged keg of Rumrunner Coffee Quad, Brandy Barrel aged Tripel, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Dopplesticke Alt, small batch Gratzer and Kentucky Common, finishing with a Tequila Barrel Saison with Brett and a Cherry Lambic.

The festival was started in 1990 when Doug Odell of Odell Brewing and Brad Page of Coopersmith's Pub & Brewing approached the Downtown Fort Collins Business Association with the idea. There is no entry fee this year, but beer lover can buy $20 beer packages that include ten festival bucks for ten beer samples. The Brew on Broadway will kick off a three-day birthday bash tonight celebrating its first anniversary. The brewery will debut five new ales over the course of the long weekend and show off its new cask ale system. There will be music each night.

The 2nd Annual Erie Brewfest takes place today from noon to 4 p.m. featuring beers from more than 25 Colorado breweries. The event, held on Briggs Street in Historic Downtown Erie, benefits the Erie Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Brewers Guild. Pre-sale tickets are $30, or $35 day of the event. Brewers scheduled to attend include: Echo Brewing, Old Mine Cidery, Industrial Revolution Brewing, Gravity Brewing, Crystal Springs Brewing Co, Rockyard Brewing Co, Odd 13 Brewing Co, Pateros Creek Brewing Co, Odell Brewing Co, Wild Woods Brewery, Kannah Creek Brewing Co, Big Choice Brewing, Left Hand Brewing Co, Crooked Stave, CB & Potts, Great Divide Brewing, Front Range Brewing, Lone Tree Brewing, Beer By Design, Kokopelli Brewing, Brewery Rickoli, Wonderland Brewery, and Pug Ryan's Brewing.

Breckenridge Brewery celebrates its birthday today at the 24th Anniversary Hootenanny, an all-inclusive street party, at 471 Kalamath Street, which benefits local non-profit, Conscious Alliance. In addition to the annual pig roast, there will be two outdoor stages of live music (Deadphish Orchestra, The Magic Beans, Kitchen Dwellers, Trout Steak Revival, The Colorado Goat Ropers Guild, and Marty Jones & The Great Unknowns), free brewery tours, and tastings of unique beers from Breckenridge Brewery's pilot brewery and rare beer cellar. The party, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will run along the entire block of Kalamath Street. This will be the last bash held at the Kalamath Street brewery since Breck is building a massive new brewing campus in Littleton, which is slated to open in the spring of 2015, when the brewery will hold its 25th Hootenany. Avery Brewing will release No. 21 in its acclaimed Barrel-Aged Series today in the tap room. The 16 percent ABV beer, called Black Eye, is a an imperial stout aged in rum barrels. Although bottle sales don't begin until 1 p.m., a line will likely form much earlier in which people will be able to order other rare Avery beers on tap. Each twelve-ounce bottle of Black Eye is $12, and there a limit of twelve per person. Cash only.

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew will release a beer today that it collaborated on with Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar -- part of the Big Red F restaurant group. Big Red OMF is a red ale made with hibiscus and tangerine. It will be served along with "all the Jax food you can put away," between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the brewery. Entrance is $60.

Wynkoop Brewing Company will hold its annual United Tastes of Belgium event today from 12:30 to 4 p.m. featuring Belgian and Belgian-inspired beers from more than thirty breweries. There will be everything from higher-gravity one-offs to barrel-aged wild and sour ales to traditional dubbels, tripels and quads. And because the event celebrates all things Belgian, there will also be Belgian chocolate and cheese. Copper Kettle Brewing will bring its third annual A Night to Remember fundraiser to the Four Mile Historic Park today from 4 to 8 p.m. The event was created to commemorate Alex Teves, and the other eleven people who were killed in the Aurora theater shootings in July 2012. Teves, then 24, was one of the first members of the Copper Kettle's Brew Club. There will be beer from twenty Colorado breweries, along with food from Biker Jims, El Toro the Tot, Crazy Good Food and Basic Kneads. There will also be live music from Dusty Rider of The Railsplitters and Brad Murphy from Slipstream. Teves's family, as well as his fiance and friends, will be on hand, along with the families of some of the other victims. There will be a silent auction and prize giveaways throughout the night. Tickets are $25 and available at eventgrid.com. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Alexander C. Teves Foundation, which is part of the Humanex Academy, helping students who have learning disabilities and emotional and behavior disorders (Alex was a counselor who helped with the Humanex Academy).
