After that coffeeshop shuttered a few months ago, the pair teamed up to open something new in its place -- and now, Riffs Urban Fare is getting ready to open its doors to the public.
Riffs will be a small-plates spot, with seasonal, international fare served in a social, bar-like setting. "I don't really expect to have an entrée on the menu," Platt told the Daily Camera. "We're trying really hard to keep everything on the menu under $15." And while that leaves exactly what will be on the menu rather vague, thanks to Riffs's Facebook page we know that the place has a spit -- and some sort of gyro in the works.
The food will pair with a wine-focused beverage menu, as well as a run of seasonal cocktails and micro-brews.
Riffs, which will serve from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily, is slated to open sometime in early or mid-September.
