This weekend you can sip while you shop at assorted classes, craft fairs, tastings and markets -- all guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit. Or is that spirits?

At 6 p.m. tonight, A Bottled Affair will host an open-house wine-tasting, where you can taste old- and new-world wines, there will also be appetizers, a tasting display of imported extra virgin olive oils and, of course, wine-related gifts available for purchase. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple; get them online here.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13 From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hammond's Candies will host its thirteenth annual Candy Cane Festival, which includes a tour of the factory, photos with Santa, games and crafts. Admission is free, and there will be food trucks in the area if you want to buy snacks. For more information, visit the Hammond's website.

Learn the basics of the crochet arts -- as well as how to make an infinity scarf -- while sipping brews at the Hope Tank tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. Several seasonal brews will be available for tasting, along with holiday-inspired small bites.Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased online.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14 The Denver Beer Festivus is back and bigger than ever. It will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the McNichols Building, where at least twenty local breweries will pour their specialty brews; there will be food vendors and musical artists on hand. Although the event is sold out, check the Beer Festivus Facebook page for an opportunity to win tickets.

Punk is not dead at 3 Kings Tavern , which is hosting a punk-rock potluck to accompany its monthly garage sale. From noon to 6 p.m., bring your favorite dish and buy, sell and barter various items with your neighbors and other local artisans while enjoying pints of beer. There will be live entertainment from Muno Wahab, Masters of Hair Metal and AM Gold.

Learn how to make wine with Pamela Zorn, owner of Wine & Whey, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at the store located at 3559 Larimer Street. Students will help start a batch of scratch-made wine and sample wine and cheese. Tuition is $40 per person and can be purchased online.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15 Plants & Animals Denver, which sponsors monthly vegan dinners, will host a Holiday Neat Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Horse Barn/Denver Urban Gardens. The market will feature entirely vegan items, including food, clothing and home goods made by local vendors. For more information, check out the Facebook page.

Sample decadent dishes at a holiday tasting fair from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lucky's Market in Boulder. The event is free, and will feature prime rib, gourmet cheeses and sweet desserts.

Wit's End Brewing Company and Sanctum Longboards are teaming up to host a create-your-own skateboard event from noon to 2 p.m. The event is open to all ages; beer samples are limited to guests 21 and over. Tickets are $50 online ($55 at the door) and include your first beer (21+), doughnuts and a blank skateboard deck.
