SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14 The Denver Beer Festivus is back and bigger than ever. It will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the McNichols Building, where at least twenty local breweries will pour their specialty brews; there will be food vendors and musical artists on hand. Although the event is sold out, check the Beer Festivus Facebook page for an opportunity to win tickets.
Punk is not dead at 3 Kings Tavern , which is hosting a punk-rock potluck to accompany its monthly garage sale. From noon to 6 p.m., bring your favorite dish and buy, sell and barter various items with your neighbors and other local artisans while enjoying pints of beer. There will be live entertainment from Muno Wahab, Masters of Hair Metal and AM Gold.
Learn how to make wine with Pamela Zorn, owner of Wine & Whey, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at the store located at 3559 Larimer Street. Students will help start a batch of scratch-made wine and sample wine and cheese. Tuition is $40 per person and can be purchased online.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15 Plants & Animals Denver, which sponsors monthly vegan dinners, will host a Holiday Neat Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Horse Barn/Denver Urban Gardens.
