Den Farm is the facility that brothers Yasu and Toshi Kizaki, who own Sushi Den and Izakaya Den, started last year in Brighton. "Our parents were farmers," Yasu told Laura Shunk this spring, when they installed a new greenhouse. "It's been a vision for a long time, but it's hard work."
You can see the results of that hard work next month, when the third installment in Slow Food Denver's 2012 Farm Tour series goes to Den Farm, at 14750 East 132nd Avenue in Brighton, on Saturday, July 28. The visit, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes a tour of the farm and its new greenhouse, as well as a lunch prepared with products from Den Farm.Tickets are $20 for Slow Food Denver members; $25 for non-members; $15 for students (with valid ID); and $10 for children four to twelve (children under four are no charge).
