Ten Places to Celebrate Food and Freedom in Denver on the Fourth of July

Freedom, food and fireworks: the three cornerstones on which this country was founded — or at least the three things we love the most about the Fourth of July. With the holiday falling on a Monday this year, that's meant a long holiday weekend for many, with three days full of star-spangled food and drink specials for all. Interstate's all-you-can-eat Independence Day brunch to get you fueled for a full day of all things American. The brunch, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, is $18, or $28 with an all-you-can-drink option. 

La Loma

Through July 4
La Loma Mexican Restaurant — which won't move until at least the end of August — is celebrating its last Fourth of July in this location by offering a special Mexican hot-dog deal and a frozen red, white and blue margarita. Lola is celebrating our independence with an old-fashioned barbecue starting at noon on Monday, July 4. The restaurant will serve happy-hour-priced drinks all day and night, special barbecue and taco menus, $5 Blanco Coins and $2 chicken tacos. Up in Boulder on July 4, the West End Tavern will be firing up its smoker and churning out barbecue specials all day. Of course, a barbecue plate just isn't the same without beer, so the tavern will also be offering $3 PBR Tall Boys and $10 buckets of Workin’ Man Cans. Hirshorn Park
Monday, July 4, 8 a.m.
The ninth annual free, kid-centric event invites little ones to bring bicycles, tricycles and scooters to a fun morning of red, white and blue celebration. Along with an Independence Day parade, children can enjoy field-day games, water-balloon fights, a bouncy castle and so much more. Stapleton Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast & Parade

Monday, July 4, 9 a.m.
Get a head start on the holiday with a sweet breakfast benefiting the Stapleton Stingrays swim team. Pancakes, sausage and juice will be served up before the neighborhood parade gets started; all are welcome to bring bicycles, tricycles and wagons to take part. Aurora is throwing down for its Fourth of July Spectacular this year. The Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn will feature live music from America's Got Talent finalist Emily West, plenty of food and a fireworks display billed as one of the best in the state. Littleton

Littleton's Fourth of July celebration is conveniently centered around three parks: Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone. That means there will be plenty to keep you and your family entertained all day long. During the day, you can play mini-golf, make a splash at Pirate's Cove Water Park, hit the batting cages, get your face painted, jump in the bounce house, and nosh on plates from a variety of food trucks and food vendors. The seventh annual Park Hill Fourth of July Parade will once again march along East 23rd Avenue from Dexter Street to Krameria Street with floats, marching bands, costumed characters, classic cars and more. The parade, which gets marching at 1:30 p.m., will end with a street fair on the 2200 block of Kearney Street, with live music, kids' activities, food and drinks. Wheat Ridge Fourth of July Picnic and Parade
Panorama Park

Wheat Ridge's Fourth of July festivities focus on pedestrians and cyclists with a red, white and blue parade heading down West 35th Avenue at 10 a.m. Independence Day-inspired decor is all the rage for this people-powered walk, which ends at Panorama Park. That's where field-day games will offer some friendly competition before the community picnic takes over in the afternoon.
