Monday, June 8
 

Local mixologists from some of Boulder's top establishments, including Frasca, Mateo, Oak at Fourteenth, Riffs, Salt and West End Tavern, will be mixing up new cocktails featuring Colorado-based Dancing Pines Bourbon and competing for the best drink at today's Moovers & Shakers. The cocktail competition gets shaking at 5:30 p.m., and you can try six bourbon cocktail samples — vote for your favorite! — and accompanying small bites. Tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door, and benefits the the Dairy Center for the Arts, where the event is held. For tickets and more information, visit thedairy.org.

Frasca Food and Wine continues its Monday Night Wine Dinner Series with the wines of Salomon Undhof with Bert Salomon. The Monday Night Wine Dinners are $50 for a prix fixe four-course tasting menu; wine pairings are an additional $40-50. For reservations and more information, call Frasca at 303-442-6966.

Humboldt is holding a wine dinner from 6:30 to 10 p.m. tonight featuring the wines of Joseph Phelps Vineyards. Guest will get to indulge in four courses, each paired with a select Joseph Phelps wine. For reservations, $125, and more information, call 303-813-1700.

Tuesday, June 9    

Ruth Reichl will make a stop in Denver on her national tour to promote her New York Times-bestselling novel DELICIOUS! The author will be at the Tattered Cover Aspen Grove today at 7 p.m. For more information, click here.

The Post Brewing Company is throwing its second annual Backyard Benefit today starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature a four-course, farm-to-table dinner along with beer and wine. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Growe Foundation. Tickets are $75; you can get yours here.

The Broomfield Farmers' Market opens its fifth season at 4 p.m. today. Three dozen vendors will be on hand at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church at the intersection of Highway 287 and West 10th Avenue.

Wednesday, June 10

The third annual Chefs Challenge, a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, will take place today at Mile High Station. Some of Denver's top chefs — representing the likes of Hapa, Sugarmill, Los Chingones, Gozo and more — will be battling for "Best Dish" as guests sample their efforts and mingle with the chefs. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $100 per person. You can purchase tickets here

Thursday, June 11  

The first-ever International Rosé Wine Festival in the Rockies will take place today at the Omni Interlocken Resort. The event will feature plenty of wine; food from Blackbelly, Oceanaire Seafood Room and Big Mac and Little Lu’s; a silent auction and more. The Denver Botanic Gardens is letting guests unwind this evening at its new monthly event, Unwind. This time the theme is Escape, and the event will feature a popcorn bar, gourmet nacho counter and a candy bar; there will also be pop-up entertainment around the gardens.
