When Teriyaki Madness, a fast-casual Asian chain based in Las Vegas, opened its first Denver franchise last May, the company promised the same "frenzy experienced by our raving fans who desire to have our dishes daily." Apparently the frenzy was short lived, as the sole metro location, tucked into the University Hill Shopping Center, is now closed and the chain's corporate website has erased any evidence of the Denver store from its list of national locations, which stretch from Los Angeles to Virginia Beach.

Teriyaki Madness, founded by Rod Arreola, his brother Alan and friend Eric Garma, moved its corporate headquarters from Las Vegas to Denver last year, so its possible another franchise could pop up in the city soon. With seventeen stores nationwide as of the end of last year, the concept was recognized by QSR Magazine as one of its Best Franchise Deals for 2014.
