Keegan Gerhard (D Bar Desserts), Troy Guard (TAG), Tyler Wiard (Elway's in Cherry Creek) and Matt Selby (Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben's) will join host chef Jamey Fader at Lola, 1575 Boulder Street, tonight at 6 p.m., when all five chefs will convene in Fader's home kitchen to prepare a five-course meal -- the first in a five-dinner series from the "Denver Five," a tight band of five local chefs that cooked together at the James Beard House in May.
"This is a chance for all of us mischief makers and chefs to work together, drum up some business, create a little attention for each other's restaurants and throw down some tasty vittles," explains Fader. "It's all about friends cooking for the cause of getting Denver's rich culinary prowess out there to people in Colorado and national onlookers alike."
Right on.
The dinner, which kicks off with a cocktail reception featuring the "mixology stylings of tequila guru Jimmy Zannon and co-spirit specialist Sean Kenyon," the bar manager at Steuben's, is $65 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and reservations are essential; call 720-570-8686 to book a seat.
