At 6 p.m. tonight, Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret, 1601 Arapahoe Street, is hosting an all-American food and wine event featuring the wines of California and the Pacific Northwest paired with a menu prepared by Flovor Catering, which includes house-smoked salmon with green goddess aioli; miniature chicken-in-a-biscuit sandwiches with watermelon relish; braised pork belly sided with sweet corn puree; jambalaya with housemade andouille sausage; and sweet and sticky spareribs with pickled onion confit. If you want dessert, stick around for hottie Frank Sinatra impersonator/crooner Derek Evilsizer. Tickets are $45 and you can get yours by calling 303-293-0075. If you'd prefer the rhythms of Cuba over Frank Sinatra standards, head to 8 Rivers, the Caribbean restaurant at 1550 Blake Street, for live jazz, a three-course dinner and Matusalem Cuban rum tasting. The $45 per person price tag includes rivers of rum, a selection of starters, main dishes (curried goat!) and desserts, such as key lime pie, bread pudding or tropical ice. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 303-623-3422.
