In Denver, the publication named Restaurant Kevin Taylor, 1106 14th Street, the downtown New American spot that just got a renovation to go with its new a la carte menu.
We think that's probably a good call for business travelers on an expense account, but we've got a few other places we'd consider for hotel dining. Here are four more options, rounding out our list of the top five Denver hotel restaurants.
Panzano, 909 17th Street, Hotel Monaco We'd seek out chef Elise Wiggins's Italian cuisine even if we weren't staying in the Hotel Monaco. And if we had taken a room at the place? We might have trouble eating anywhere else.
Jill's Restaurant, 900 Walnut Street, Boulder, St. Julien This New American restaurant in Boulder serves up a brunch buffet good enough to pull us there when we're looking to feast (which we always are when we're on vacation). Jill's is best, though, on warm summer nights for happy hour, when throngs of locals flank tables for live music. Yard House, 1555 Court Place, Sheraton Yes, we realize its a chain. Yes, we realize it's not exactly haute cuisine. But sometimes when we're traveling, we just want a draft beer and a burger, and we wouldn't be too sad to find we were able to grab it just downstairs from our room at the Sheraton.
Second Home, 150 Clayton Lane, JW Marriott This Cherry Creek North spot is often packed with Denver residents, making it feel like its not a hotel restaurant at all. And were we using the JW Marriott as a resting place, we'd be especially inclined to stop in for an appetizer and a drink before heading out to other nearby spots for dinner.
