Tacos are suddenly the talk of the town, with not one, but two big events devoted to them this week. Before the Denver Taco Festival gets rolling in RiNo on June 27, Top Taco will return to Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight. Our readers voted Top Taco the Best New Festival in the Best of Denver 2015, and its second edition promises to be bigger and better. "Last year's event was an amazing success," says Chris Chassen, one of the organizers. "The restaurant and tequila participation has doubled this year. We will have a sellout."

More than forty restaurants — including Comida Cantina, Zengo, Margs, Pinche Tacos and Machete — will compete mano a mano for the coveted Top Taco title in four categories. There will also be tequila samples from more than forty brands, as well as music by La Candela, a hot salsa band. Ticket prices range from $65 for general admission to $125 for VIP, which includes early admission and a special VIP entrance. Find more information at toptacodenver.com — and may the best taco win!

Also tonight, New Belgium's 2015 Clips Beer and Film Tour will roll into Boulder. Now in its sixth year, this beer-centric, traveling film and beer festival will bring suds, short films and support for the local charity Community Cycles to Valmont Disc Golf Park at Airport Road. Gates open at 8 p.m.; the films start at 9:30. Admission is free, but you'll want to bring some cash for the seventeen varieties of beer available, including some rare releases from New Belgium; all proceeds from beer sales will benefit Community Cycles. Find more information on the event at newbelgium.com; for more on Community Cycles and its efforts to support cycling along the Front Range, click here.

Fox & Hound in Lone Tree is teaming up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver to support youth engagement programs at a benefit featuring complimentary food sampling, $4 cocktails and $2 draft beers. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m.; for more information, call Fox & Hound at 720-875-9161.
