If you're the President of the United States, where would you eat in Denver? After landing here late yesterday, President Barack Obama headed to the Wazee Supper Club for dinner with five citizens who'd sent letters requesting the pleasure of his company, then strolled around LoDo before heading to the Wynkoop Brewing Company, where he met John Hickenlooper for a game of pool. And it sounds like the Commander in Chief more than held his own against Colorado's Governor. See also: Video: Obama at Wazee Supper Club asked, "Want a hit, man?"

Here's a video of Obama shaking hands and greeting people along 15th Street, including Johnny Ballen, owner of Squeaky Bean(he shows up at 2:40, and gets to tout his restaurant):

Once Obama reached the Wynkoop, which Hickenlooper founded 25 years ago when he was an out-of-work geologist, the President and the Governor headed to the bar and ordered a couple of beers ("possibly IPAs based on the appearance, but the pool could not hear their order," according to the White House pool reporter) and then went to the second floor for a game of pool.

Things started off slow, with Hickenlooper joking, "Let's get the press out of here." And as the reporter made moves to leave, the President really started to sink multiple shots, eventually winning the game. "Did you record that?" he asked the pool reporter.

This morning Obama delivered an invitation-only speech in Cheesman Park, and this afternoon he will be attending a Democratic fundraiser. And in the months leading up to the November election, there's a good chance that Hickenlooper will get a rematch with the President.
