Summer's hot, but it's easy to cool off with your favorite beverage, and you can have your pick on Friday, August 16 at the Endless Summer Beer & Spirits Festival, which is dedicated to liquids in various forms. A benefit for Water for People, which is focused on water preservation and sanitation around the world, Endless Summer will be serving spirits and cocktails made by eight Colorado distilleries, and summer seasonals from twelve local breweries. You'll also find food vendors, live music and lounges.

Wanna go? You can buy your tickets from Imbibe Denver, which is hosting the party along with Westword, or you can win a pair of them -- an $80 value. Here's how:

1) Sign up for, or into, our commenting system. Then, tell us succinctly in the comments section below (not on Facebook, please!) about your strangest drinking experience -- after all, one of the the breweries that will be at the fest is called Strange Brewing.

2. Leave your e-mail address (otherwise, we won't be able to reach you if you win). Then check back 48 hours after the date on this post to see if you've won.

We'll pick our favorite answer and award the tickets. Oh, and if you don't win, don't fret, we'll be giving away at least two more sets of tickets later this week.

Endless Summer takes place Friday, August 16 from 8 p.m. to midnight, in the McNichols Building in Civic Center Park. In addition to Strange, some featured breweries and distilleries include Great Divide, Ska, Odell, Breckenridge, Denver Beer Co, Crazy Mountain, Spring 44, Peach Street and Golden Moon.
