Lucas Field, the frontman for Low Vs. Diamond (the subject of a profile in Westword's November 27 edition), is a Seattle native -- but he spent his college years at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where he played in a jam band whose music has little in common with the tunes he's making with his current band. That could change, however, as he reveals in the following Q&A.

Last November, Angela Ball, 33, was found dead at the Winsor Court Apartments, 10990 East 16th Avenue. Breaks in the case were rare until last Wednesday, when Norman Williams, 34, was taken into custody by officers in Delhi, Louisiana. • Colorado Crimes: An invitation to roll over on Daniel Evaristo-Hernandez-Ramos, accused child molester

Daniel Evaristo-Hernandez-Ramos.We've been taught from an early age not to squeal on people. Doing so is seen as such a negative that the action's been given a number of entirely perjorative names: "rat," "fink" and so on. But given the crimes for which twenty-year-old Daniel Evaristo-Hernandez-Ramos is wanted -- sexual assault on a child and child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury -- the Aurora Police Department thinks an exception can be made. Good call. Read the thoroughly vile

Daniel Evaristo-Hernandez-Ramos (click to enlarge photo).Last week, we passed along the Aurora Police Department's invitation to roll over on Daniel Evaristo-Hernandez-Ramos, an accused child molester. No luck finding the suspect thus far, but the APD has located a much better photo, seen here. • Mile High Murder, No. 26: Shayne Miller goes from person of interest to arrested suspect in slaying at motel on 9200 block of East Colfax

Shayne Miller.Things can change mighty quickly in a homicide investigation. On Friday, representatives of the Aurora Police Department announced they were seeking Shayne Miller, 35, in connection with a homicide that took place in a motel on the 9200 block of East Colfax the previous day. But the APD didn't initially identify him as a suspect. Instead, a release stated that they wanted to bring him in "out of concern for Miller's welfare." Eric Holder. Most of Attorney General Eric Holder's prepared remarks to the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference today are of the attaboy variety: At one point, he says, "I have come to Denver today with one simple message from Washington: 'We got your back.'"
