Deluxe is about to get another sibling.Dylan Moore already runs a couple of this city's most engaging restaurants: Deluxe at 30 South Broadway, one of the (very) few examples of intelligently designed, historical California cuisine done right in Denver, and right next door at 32 South Broadway, Delite, which offers a kind of Deluxe-lite menu (a cinch, since they share the same kitchen) in a much more casual space with a great bar.

Actually, I guess it's probably not on fire any more. But Deluxe and Delite, Dylan Moore's two excellent, side-by-side operations at 30 and 32 South Broadway, respectively, were on fire an hour or so ago. Both places took a hit. By the time I got there, the flames were gone but the traffic was a nightmare, with fire trucks still on scene and the smoke curling out and down along Broadway.
That's the bad news.
The good news is that no one was hurt (b
Last Monday, everyone driving down Broadway knew that something bad was going on. Traffic was backed up for blocks, cars were going nowhere fast. And when they did finally make it to the block that holds both Deluxe and Delite, the reason for the jam became clear--both of those places had caught fire.
