This past spring, Slim Cessna's Auto Club released Cipher, the act's fantasic follow-up to 2004's The Bloudy Tenant Truth Peace. Aside from being the outfit's most definitive piece of work, the album sports some really cool looking, cryptic artwork, including indecipherable song titles on the jacket -- like somebody set a graphic designer loose with the dingbats font. Figuring that you'll have ample opportunity to hear that song at the club tonight, we've opted to post another track from her forthcoming disc, which is being overseeing by Bob Ferbache at his Absinthe Studios. Denver-based photographer Gary Isaacs has just unveiled a 78-page collection of photographs of one of this city's best-loved bands, Slim Cessna's Auto Club. The book includes some truly striking black-and-white on- and off-stage shots of Slim, Munly and the gang from the past few years, as well as snippets of Auto Club lyrics.
