  • The Fray's new single makes its debut

Update: This afternoon, the Fray posted a viral video on its MySpace page, and sent out a bulletin explaining the meaning behind the words to "You Found Me." We've posted both after the jump, along with the lyrics. The Fray's new single, as previously reported, debuted last night during Grey's Anatomy by way of a promo for the new season of Lost. The piano-driven tune titled, "You Found Me," is a quintessential Fray track built around the distinctive emotive vocals and phrasing of Isaac Slad

  • A first look at the Fray's new documentary

Just attended a private screening at Starz FilmCenter of Fair Fight, a brand-new documentary focusing on the Fray that chronicles the making of the act's forthcoming album. The film was directed by Rod Blackhurst, a onetime merch guy who's been trailing the band for the better part of three years, essentially documenting their every breath. According to Kelly Magelky, another talented director who's been shooting the Fray himself for a number of years and who edited Fight, Blackhurst presented

  • The Fray's Joe King collaborates with American Idol winner Kris Allen

In between dates on his band's current tour (which will be making its Denver stop next weekend at the Mile High Music Festival), Fray singer/guitarist Joe King found some time to hit to hit the studio with Kris Allen, the winner of last season's American Idol, to record an as-yet-titled song for the latter's debut platter. MTV recently caught up with King, who was in the studio in Toronto mixing the rough demo, and he explained that the pair hooked up with little fanfare after Allen -- who had e

His bright, colorful style is as vibrant as it is distinctive. "I like to take pictures of faces of people who do things and make things that I admire," says Roeth. We got a sneak peek of the eye-grabbing portraits last night at the Sputnik and suffice it say, there's plenty to admire abo

  • The Fray on the Tonight Show

In case you missed it, the Fray appeared on the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien last night. A couple noteworthy things about the performance: Drummer Ben Wysocki pitched in on backing vocals, suggesting that Joe King's still experiencing voice problems, and the band tapped a string section to play on "Never Say Never," the latest single from the act's self-titled sophomore album. See the clip after the jump.

  • The Fray files suit against former manager

From Bill Joel to Trent Reznor, it's a well-worn story line: a seemingly shrewd business manager attempts to hoodwink young musicians under his charge, taking advantage of their inexperience and naivety for his gain, and getting away with it before they really know any better or realize what's happening to them. Such appears to be the case with the Fray, whose principles filed suit against their former manager, Gregg Latterman, in U.S. District Court yesterday. In the suit, filed by Isaac Sla

  • Joe King making a name for himself apart from the Fray

Perhaps taking a cue from his pal Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, who's written and produced songs for an array of top shelf pop acts, including Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce and Leona Lewis, Fray guitarist Joe King is steadily making a name for himself as a burgeoning songwriter in his own right. On the just released self-titled debut of Kris Allen, the winner of last season's American Idol, King co-wrote a track called "Alright with Me," which one critic has already pinpointed as the album's standout
