If the MC5 itself had played a nine-hour set in the prison cell of my own personal hell, I couldn't have left more satiated.

Whoodeefreakinghoo! Good fortune is smiling on us today. Looks like the music gods do love us after all. With songs about self-discovery and self-affirmation, A Clock p

  • Suburban Home announces limited pressing of Drag the River anthology

Drag the River has always been about giving fans the biggest bang for their hard-earned buck. If you ever stumbled into a bar that has a Drag record in the jukebox, for instance, you've probably noticed that if you select the last track on the album, you're treated to the entire album. Genius, right? So it's not hard to believe Suburban Home Records honcho Virgil Dickerson when he says that Jon Snodgrass probably isn't going to be too stoked about Primer, a new limited edition Drag the River

  • Q&A with Jonson Kuhn of Jonny Woodrose & the Broken Hearted Woodpeckers

In the short time Jonny Woodrose & the Broken-Hearted Woodpeckers have been together, the outfit has grown from being a bit of a joke band vehicle for singer Jonson Kuhn's humorous storytelling into one of the most engaging and fun Americana bands in the scene. The project's early shows consisted of Jonson playing guitar and singing songs, but it quickly evolved into a full, four-piece band including guitarist Charles Kern, drummer David Vanderiet and bass player Brian Payne. Consciously
