Minimum wage goes up 28 cents an hour: Our ideas about how to spend that windfall

​Time to loosen your belt -- your wallet is about to get fatter. Effective January 1, 2012, Colorado's minimum wage will go up by 28 cents per hour -- from $7.36 to $7.74 for salaried employees and from $4.34 to $4.62 for tipped ones.
