Copyright 2009 NBAE (photo: Garrett W. Ellwood/NBAE via Getty Images)Just received word that the wisenheimers of 3OH!3...wait...what's that? Oh, right. Sure. Ahem...it seems we got our, uh, wires crossed there. Evidently, Sean Foreman and Nate Motte didn't actually get the, er, key to the city. Our bad. But they did get to hand off the ball at a Nuggets game last week -- as previously reported -- which, as we all know, is practically, like, the same thing, right? Anyhow, here's a shot of the boy

  • Make your own 3OH!3 puppet

Well, I'm a little late on this one, but had to let you know. Photo Finish Records, home of Colorado's own 3OH!3, declared March 3rd "3OH!3 Day" (Get it? 3/03?), and in honor of the occasion, launched a bunch of promos and fun stuff on their blog. There are package deals, including one for $3.03, and some contests, but the thing that filled me with glee was the 3OH!3 Soundboard.

  • 3OH!3 grace the cover(s) of AP. Again.

Update: Last week's scuttlebutt turned out to be true. 3OH!3 indeed officially has the number one song on the radio in the country right now, and unsurprisingly, "Don't Trust Me" has reportedly gone double platinum.Yeah, and it don't stop, and it don't quit. Speaking, of course, of the redamndiculous exposure of 3OH!3 right now. A few weeks ago, Eryc Eyl made a claim that the group had officially achieved ubiquity. With the frequency with which we've been blogging about the act's exploits, you'd

  • 3OH!3: Your weekly update on the world's most ubiquitious act

It's been a few weeks since our last 3OH!3 post. (Forgive us, father, for we have sinned.) Fortunately, you'll be happy to know that the Boulder-based hooligans, slated to appear at this weekend's Mile High Music Festival, haven't budged from their ubiquitous perch. And their influence appears to be widening. (Anybody notice Shwayze copping a 3OH!3 vibe on its new single, "Get U Home"?) The pair is still getting tons of spins on nationwide radio and generating reams of press. This week, Sean For

  • Pictures to prove it: 3OH!3 representing the 303

brutalphotos.comNow that's what we call representing the home team in word and in deed. Talking about the old school Broncos sticker affixed to Adam Halferty's drumkit. Attaboy, Adam! When he's not keeping time for Young Coyotes, Halferty and his former Chain Gang of 1974 bandmate, Kamtin Mohager are touring members of 3OH!3. This photo was snapped this week somewhere on the Warped Tour. We're guessing it wasn't captured yesterday in Scranton, Penn, where Sean Foreman opened up a nasty gash on h

  • Top Five Mile High Music Fest Artists I Kinda Want to Lick

Aaron Thackeray3OH!3's Sean Foreman won't trust a ho, but that doesn't mean they can't lust after him. The author is a Denver-based music junkie and quasi-music writer of the female variety, and not she's afraid to admit that she sometimes wants to make out with the bands she writes about. This year's Mile High Music Festival billed some of the hottest bands around. But since I sometimes struggle to separate my music-fan side from my you're-dreamy-would-you-mind-if-licked-your-face? side, I co

  • Over the Weekend: Warped Tour at Invesco Field at Mile High

Breathe Carolina Warped Tour Invesco Field at Mile High August 9, 2009 Fifteen years down the line, the Warped Tour, which took over the asphalt surrounding Invesco Field on Sunday, has a well-established formula: lots of bands (around seventy in Denver), most of them falling into the pop-punk or post-punk categories, on multiple stages (seven yesterday), for a reasonable price (around fifty bucks after service charges) made possible by the presence of more food and merchandise booths th

  • A first look at 3OH!3's "Still Around" video

As if to show the world that they're not one-dimension electro-crunk caricatures -- which those who've heard Sean Foreman's folksier musings -- the 3OH!3 guys included an anomalous ballad on Want, their breakout record. That track, "Still Around," is the subject of the outfit's latest video, which is sure to mindfuck the fans that came on board with "Don't Trust Me" and "Starstrukk." The clip prominently features Foreman in a cowboy hat on a ranch of some sort riding a horse, interspersed wi

  • MTV reports on what's in 3OH!3's travel bag, tests their red-carpet skills

MTV NewsMTV's ongoing love affair with the dashing young gentlemen of 3OH!3 continues unabated. Just the other day, they delivered this in-depth expose of what the guys pack in their carry-on luggage while flying around the globe living the jet-set lifestyle of electro-crunk superstars on the way to winning (we hope) that coveted "Best New Artist" award at the MTV VMAs. The shortlist includes a book, some headphones, The Pocket Reference Guide and stuff like clothes, naturally. If you don

  • Don't Trust...Obama? Oh, man, is 3OH!3 gonna be pissed when the guys hear this!

Shush man/Take the hit/Do the Barney Frank and talk with your spit...While we're not privy to the political leanings of the 3OH!3 guys and although their tongues are generally so deep in their cheeks that it's left a permanent protrusion, we're pretty sure that this parody version of their ubiquitous hit single "Don't Trust Me" will offend Sean Foreman and Nat Motte's oh so delicate sensibilities. Lord knows, it did ours. Decidedly worse than "C-Section Scars," the woefully lame parody of "Hand

  • Hearsay bits: Sean Foreman and Nat Motte put the 'OH!' in 3OH!3 at mtvU's Woodie Awards and more

Some quick news bites from the local scene...Oh my!: Recognize these striking dames? Yeah, us neither. That boa helmet and weird, red, veil, feathery thing kind of obscures any chance we have any sort of face recognition. This pic was snapped a few nights ago at mtvU's Woodie Awards, which we somehow managed to miss. Luckily, the fine folks over at network went ahead and solved the mystery for us. Evidently dudes looking like ladies here are none other than the insatiable hooligans from the P
