In the meantime, after the jump, you can enjoy this video of a Procussions live performance from l

Just in time for the Westword Music Showcase, Spoke-In-Wordz and his folks put the finishing touches on his newest mixtape Catch the Buzz 3. The mix is a collection of freestyles, collaborations and unreleased material from the last few years. Mixed entirely by DJ Chonz, Spoke-In-Wordz and Playalitical trade verses with hip-hop stalwarts like Chino XL, Supernatural, Rhymefest and Bizzy Bone. screenshot (click to enlarge) straight jacked from Ralphie Another Colorado hip-hop artist has charted on CMJ's hip-hop chart. Massive props go out to Kid Hum, who checks in this week at number eighteen, just one spot being J Dilla, with his latest effort Offshore Drilling. Certainly a good look for the Kid, who now shares the distinction of having charted on CMJ's hip-hop charts with the Flobots, Procussions, Ichiban, Whygee and 1865. Sooner or later, folks are going to stop sleeping on Mile Hi

  • Q&A with Flawless of Fresh Breath Committee

Back in 2008, we named Boostwell Crew the best hip-hop crew in Denver. Headed by SP Double, the crew consisted of local emcees and producers, Flawless, Fo Chief, ManDaMyth, Catch Lungs, EMB, Purpose, Procise, Kontrast and a few others. Shortly after the recognition, a number of members left the crew and launched the Fresh Breath Committee (FBC). Lead mostly by Flawless, FBC is a collective of like-minded solo artists, who, at first, came together to support each other but quickly realized the

  • Hey, DJ! Q&A with DJ Vajra

This week's subject: DJ Vajra, a DJ who's widely revered among his fellow DJs, locally and nationally, for his vast turn
