Tickle Me Pink, who's in the midst of a cross country tour right now with Hawthorne Heights (full dates after the jump), has posted an explicit, NSFW version of their "Typical Whore" video. Like the the original version, the video features porn star Gabriella Fox crawling through comforters on her hands and knees. Unlike the original version, however, in this clip, her goods on full display. Tickle Me Porn, anyone? -- Dave Herrera

  • Tickle Me Pink to debut new songs and offer up unreleased acoustic songs

A while back there was some talk that Tickle Me Pink was going the way of pager technology. Turns out the dudes were just taking some time off to write some new songs, some of which they'll be debuting at the Gothic Theatre on Saturday, June 27, in the company of I Hate Kate, Life In Electric and Hearts Like Lions . And just in case you're on the fence in terms of making it out to this show, we've received word that the band will also be giving away three unreleased acoustic songs from Madeline

  • The bloodletting starts at Clear Channel Denver

The December 17 blog "Clear Channel's Lee Larsen Talks About Possible Layoffs at Denver Stations" noted strong rumors about impending staff cuts at the area outlets owned by the Texas-based mega-corp: five FMs -- KTCL/93.3 FM, The Party/95.7 FM, KBCO/97.3 FM, The Fox/103.5 FM and KBPI/106.7 FM -- and three AMs -- KHOW/630 AM, KKZN/760 AM and KOA/850 AM. Unfortunately, this speculation proved accurate. AllAccess.com, a site that specializes in radio and music news, reports that Clear Channel i

  • Strange Condition lands development deal

photo by Noe DeLeonLooks like Strange Condition is cashing in on its sweat equity. The outfit, which has endured numerous line-up changes since forming, has worked tirelessly over the years amassing a loyal and ravenous fan base (the act has consistently packed Herman's for years and has little difficulty these days filling the Gothic). And from the sounds of the new material, the group has invested as much time into its songwriting as it has in evangelism. Needless to say, the focus and effort

  • Lowlife jerkwads steal All Capitals' van

The members of All Capitals are praying for retribution ... or at least the return of their van. What is it with all these lowlife jerks preying on hardworking, hapless musicians? It has been our great displeasure to report on a series of heists over the past year or so involving a number of local minstels. Off the top of our head, last fall, Epilogues had a laptop jacked -- from a benefit it was playing, no less -- Sean Kennedy from Tickle Me Pink had his house burglarized, as did Matt Bellinger

  • Rumors of Tickle Me Pink's breakup completely unfounded

So we heard a rumor as we were closing up shop last week from a very reliable source that Tickle Me Pink had reached the end of the line. Well, TMP fans can rest easy. We're happy to report that the rumor is indeed just that. Just got off the blower with guitarist Joey Barba and drummer Stefan Runstrom, whom assures us that not only is the band not parting ways but that the guys have in fact been hunkered down and writing like crazy recently. "I don't know what spawned this," Runstrom says of th

  • Rumors of Born in the Flood's demise are... well, just that. Sorry, misanthropes.

Y'all remember that old school jam by Timex Social Club? How do rumors get started...? It's got to be more than, what, two decades since the group recorded that song, and that ponderous sentiment remains. How do these rumors get started? A few weeks ago, there was scuttlebutt that Tickle Me Pink was closing up shop, which turned out to be completely unfounded. This week, there's another one circulating that Born in the Flood has unceremoniously hit the rocks. Not so much on that one, either. Acc

Last month, the Fort Collins Music Association hosted the area's first ever all local music festival, dubbed the Fort Collins Music Experiment (FoCoMx for short). As hard to believe as it is that such an event never existed until this year, it's not difficult to see that the supply definitely exists to generate such a demand. Fact is, the Northern Colorado scene is just exploding with an array of exciting acts from the established bands you're likely already aware of such as Tickle Me Pink, the

  • Remembering Tickle Me Pink's Johnny Schou one year later.

A year ago today, Johnny Schou died tragically at the young age of 22. Hard to believe that it's already been a year since the talented Tickle Me Pink bassist passed away. Schou, as you might remember, in a cruel twist of fate, died the morning that his band released Madeline, its Wind-up Records debut. His surviving bandmates somehow summoned to courage to soldier on after his death, drafting former Brotherhood of Dae Han guitarist Joey Barba to join the fold. The quartet, which just played a s

  • Tickle Me Pink covers that are anything but "Typical"

There's a number of ways to tell that you've quote-unquote made it. Obviously attaining platinum status is a pretty good indicator. Having the number one radio song in the country is also a good gauge. Um, let's see, how about when your hit song gets parodied -- that's a pretty good indicator. Or how about when kids across the country are holed up in their bedrooms learning how to play your songs on guitar and then filming themselves playing it -- or pretending to play it. Gotta love when that h
