  • Q&A with Ryan Hendrix of Colourmusic

My first interview with Ryan Hendrix, one of the co-founders of Oklahoma's Colourmusic, didn't happen for one reason or another. But he more than made up for it the second time around. He was incredibly generous with his time, and extremely interesting and honest, too. • The Fray still in Top 10 on Billboard 200

In its fifth consecutive week on the charts, the Fray's self-titled sophomore release is still generating impressive sales figures, good enough, in fact, to remain in the top ten on the Billboard 200. Last week, the group registered 30,000 more sales, which moved it up a notch to number seven from number eight the week previously. The acts in front of the Fray: U2, Taylor Swift, Neko Case, Lady Gaga, Nickelback and, uh, Jamie Foxx.

  • Four is the magic number for Slayer and U2

Dear, metal heads, prepare to be stoked: Slayer has unveiled the artwork for its forthcoming album, World Painted Blood, which is slated for release on Tuesday, November 3. While the music is sure to be dependably bludgeoning, the enticing aspect of this album is the fact that it will be issued with four different covers.
