This week in Cafe Society, Gretchen Kurtz reviewed Session Kitchen, the restaurant that the Breckenridge-Wynkoop group opened last fall in the former home of Izakaya Den. Lori Midson talked to Caitlin Mandigo of City Bakery about what it takes to bake bread for a living -- and at altitude -- for Chef and Tell. And Mark Antonation's travels up Federal Boulevard took him to Nick's Diner, for a filling breakfast.

Also this week, Trader Joe's finally opened in Colorado -- not just in one location, but three -- with lines that rivaled those at Voodoo Doughnut and Dunkin' Doughnuts when those spots opened.

Former Future Brewing celebrated its grand opening, and Sonoda's finally dried up in LoDo.
