The Boulder Theater is hosting the High West Oyster Fest tomorrow, April 2, with live music by local funk band Juno What?! and fresh oysters courtesy of Jax Fish House (its LoDo outpost was this year's Best Seafood Restaurant); Odell's Brewery will be pouring its Emersum Oyster Stout. The event also features oyster-shucking and -eating contests. Tickets are $29.50 at the box office or online; and a limited number of VIP and $25 general admission tickets are also available at all three Jax locations. The event will benefit the Veteran's Expeditions, a local non-profit that counsels veterans after military service.
Monday, April 1 DStill, " a serious celebration of American craft spirits," runs from today through April 6, with a big bash celebrating Colorado distillers on April 3. Keep reading for more info on that bash, and find more details here.

Twelve Restaurant, 2233 Larimer Street, is featuring the wines of Gustave Lorentz at 6 p.m. tonight. The restaurant is offering a six-course, paired menu courtesy of chef/owner Jeff Osaka, who just named Best Chef Ambassador in this year's Best of Denver.

DStill, an American Craft Spirit & Cocktail Showcase, takes place tonight from 6 to 10 p.m. at the McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue. The event is a collaboration between the Colorado Distillers Guild, the Colorado Bartenders Guild and Eat Denver. There will be "inspired bites" and entertainment along with specialty cocktails featuring Colorado spirits. Tickets are $40, but they're going fast; visit the website for more information.

Central Bistro & Bar, 1691 Central Street, is hosting a beer dinner featuring Great Divide Brewery at 6:30 p.m. this evening. The paired menu costs $49 and seating is limited; call 303-447-4582 to RSVP.
Friday, April 5:
Vesta Dipping Grill, 1822 Blake Street, is introducing Pre-Game Pop-Ups for the 2013 Rockies season. Specials include Korean BBQ rib sandwiches and fresh fruit cups sweetened with agave syrup and chili lime. Chef Brandon Foster says he wanted to "provide an alternative to traditional ballgame food on the way to Coors Field." The items will be available in front of Vesta ninety minutes before every Rockies day game, and before select evening games throughout the season. Watch the restaurant's Facebook page for updates.
