Happy Fat Tuesday! Here are a couple of culinary specials to help you get into the Carnival spirit today. And if you know of any others, feel free to toss them in the comments sections below.

Gumbo's Louisiana Style Cafe, 1033 East 17th Avenue, is featuring drink specials on select beers and cocktails from 11 a.m to close, and a discounted food menu from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Call 720-266-5300 for more details.

Big Easy Creole Kitchen, 250 Steele Street, is hosting a Mardi Gras party with live music from 6 to 10 p.m. The restaurant will be offering drink specials all day, as well as a special Fat Tuesday menu: oysters on the half shell, charbroiled oysters, boudin sausage, gumbo, crawfish, jambalaya, red beans and rice and po'boys. Central Bistro & Bar, 1691 Central Street, is offering a special Mardi Gras deal: Oyster Po Boy and a Turbodog from Abita Brewing Company in Louisiana for $12. The restaurant will also be extending its happy hour till close; call 303-477-4582 for more details.
