Q: I'm tired of not being able to get into the more popular sushi places like Sushi Den and Sushi Tazu. What else has an upscale atmosphere and great sushi?

A:It's true that Sushi Den (1487 South Pearl Street, 303-777-0826) and Sushi Tazu (300 Fillmore Street, 303-320-1672) are packed tighter than a can of sardines on weekends. But other places in town offer both snazzy settings and super-fresh sushi, including Sushi Wave (9555 East Arapahoe Road in Englewood, 303-790-8822). I also recommend Japon (1028 South Gaylord Street, 303-774-0330), Sonoda's (1620 Market Street, 303-595-9500, and 3108 South Parker Road in Aurora, 303-337-3800) and Osaka Sushi (3940 East Exposition Avenue, 303-698-9919), which is still getting its sea legs in terms of service but has top-notch fish.
