The never-ending feud over whether or not the Cherry Cricket has the best burger in town won't be slowing down anytime soon; the Cricket is one of the five finalists for Best Hamburger in our Best of Denver 2015 Readers' Poll. And you can test it for yourself the next time you land in Cherry Creek at the end of an evening out, because this neighborhood classic just added a late-night happy hour deal. From 10 p.m. to midnight, the Cricket will plonk down a Little Cricket burger, a beer and a shot, all for $12. You can add any one of dozens of toppings to this quarter-pounder, from a fried egg to grilled pineapple (each 50 cents) for an extra charge. Combine that with a PBR tallboy and a shot of Jameson, and you've got a midnight meal made to satisfy any blue-collar worker or weekend warrior.

The new offer complements the Cherry Cricket's afternoon happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., which features a rotating selection of small bites and drink specials every day, as well as a buck off all wells, wines and drafts. Whether or not the venerable Cricket has the best burger, though, the new late-night deal sounds pretty unbeatable.
