The thirteenth annual Flavors of Denver takes place this evening from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, 1111 14th Street. The event features signature dishes from twenty local chefs, including Daniel Asher of Root Down and Linger, Mitch Mayers of Black Pearl, Jensen Cummings of Row 14, Eric Rivera of Cafe|Bar, Joe Henderson of Crave Dessert Bar and Simon Purvis of EDGE Restaurant. On the other end of the spectrum, Cafe Options, 1650 Curtis Street, is celebrating the growing number of nonprofit cafes in Colorado with a free get-together from 5:30 to 8 p.m. this evening. Attendees can sample food from the following organizations while learning about their missions: Aspen Pointe Café (1675 Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs), Café 180 (3315 South Broadway), Dirt Coffee, Emily's Coffee (1261 Glenarm Place), Osage Cafe (1099 Osage Street), Pizza Fusion (571 East Colfax Avenue), SAME Café (2023 East Colfax Avenue), The Purple Door Coffee and Women's Bean Project (3201 Curtis Street).
