Dishes of DISH: Braised short ribs and pie from Udi's

On Sunday, September 22, DISH will dish out food and drinks from dozens of Cafe Society's favorite restaurants and trucks, as well as Best of Denver readers' winners, in the Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Robin Baron of Udi's will be featuring her date-braised short ribs with hazelnut tabbouleh salad, along with peanut butter pretzel pie for dessert. See also: Photos of the food of Dish 2012

The short ribs show up on the menu as a weekly special at several Udi's locations and the pretzel pie is a regular favorite.

"We pride ourselves on serving healthy, fresh, delicious food," says Baron. "This dish is a perfect combination of healthy tabbouleh salad and our favorite home-cooked braised short ribs. The dessert is made by our artisan bakery and showcases the kind of delicious, artisan desserts we create there."
