Dishing up one last pair of Dish tickets...to Daveed

This morning, we offered readers another chance to win a pair of tickets to Dish, Westword's annual celebration of dining in Denver, at the EXDO Event Center, 1399 35th Street, on Wednesday, September 22. Contestants had to tell us in five words or less why they deserved the tickets. And...

This morning, we offered readers another chance to win a pair of tickets to Dish, Westword's annual celebration of dining in Denver, at the EXDO Event Center, 1399 35th Street, on Wednesday, September 22.

Contestants had to tell us in five words or less why they deserved the tickets. And the winner? Daveed, who tells us: "Business trip postponed; can celebrate!"

This year's participating restaurants at Dish include Appaloosa Grill, Apple Spice Junction, Argyll, Big Fat Cupcakes, Big Kahuna, Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs, Corner Office, Frills Bake Shop, Gaetano's Restaurant, Goosetown Tavern, Habesha, Kinga's, Lala's Wine Bar + Pizzeria, Little India, Marlowe's, Organic Pizza Co., Pasquini's, Pearl Street Grill, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Second Home, Sexy Pizza, Steve's Snappin' Dogs, Sully's Slice Truck, the 9th Door, the Inventing Room, the Porker, Tony's Market, Waffle Brothers, Walt's Mobile Bistro, Wazee Supper Club and Wynkoop Brewing Company.

There will also be liquor samplings, mixology contests and live entertainment.

For those who don't win the tickets, admission is $30 in advance at westword.com, $40 at the door and $50 for VIP, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Volunteers of America and the GrowHaus.
