The big food news, of course, is the extension of Denver Restaurant Week, which started on February 21; 158 restaurants have signed on to continue their $52.80 deals through March 6. For all the info, go to www.denverrestaurant.week.com

In Vail today, Bud Light presents Jo Jo's Mardi Gras Band in a free concert from 6-9 p.m., followed by a party at Samana Lounge in Vail Village from 10 p.m.- 2 a.m. For more information, go to www.CarniVail.net.

On Saturday, February 28, learn how to make "One Dish Meals," when chef Jessica Gaydos leads a free class at the Central Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway, from 10:30 a.m.-noon in the B2 Conference Center. For details, go to www.denverlibrary.org.

And from 4:30-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Denver Gaels host their second annual Paddy Wagon Pub Crawl, with stops at five saloons: Highland Tavern, Celtic Tavern/Delaney's, the Irish Rover, Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub and Dougherty's Irish Pub.
