Bagel lovers of the Golden Triangle, rejoice. If you can't drag yourself out of bed early enough to go wait in the line at the new and much-hyped Rosenberg's Deli in Five Points, you can get a much faster (if less delicious) bagel at Einstein Bros., which opened a new outlet at 555 Broadway this week, complete with a giant black and yellow balloon (just so you don't miss it) and festive grand-opening bunting.
Einstein Bros. takes the place of a closed Five Star Burger joint, a chain that has disappeared from the Colorado market entirely (you can still get a Five Star fix in Missouri and New Mexico). The store celebrated its grand opening yesterday and will have deals every day this week to draw in the local crowd. Today you can get $2 off an egg sandwich. The rest of the week's deals are as follows:
Wednesday, August 6: A free espresso with purchase Thursday, August 7: $2 off lunch sandwiches Friday, August 8: $4 off a bagel bucket Saturday, August 9: Customers can meet the (rather creepy) mascots, the Einstein brothers Elmo and Melvyn, who will be in the store spinning a prize wheel all day for visitors.
The new location is Colorado's 33rd outlet; Einstein's is the largest bagel chain in the U.S., with more than 800 restaurants across the country. The store will be open Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
