Final round: Win free tickets to EatDenver's Harvest Week kick-off party
EatDenver's Harvest Week, a seven-day jubilation that pays homage to Colorado's bountiful crops, sprouts the week of August 21, when nearly forty of the city's best independent restaurants will pimp seasonal menus showcasing locally sourced ingredients and products.
But before that happens, there's going to be a little party, and fifty lucky Westword readers will get free invites by answering a few simple questions.
Here's how this thing is going to work: Every day, between now and Thursday, we'll post a question that, in some way, has something to do with Colorado ingredients and products -- things like beer, wine, produce, fruit, beef and whatever else we feel like lobbing into the pot.
The first ten people to sufficiently respond to our questions will receive one ticket each to the Harvest Week pre-party, which takes place on Sunday, August 15, at Balistreri Vineyards, 1946 East 66th Avenue. The soiree begins at 5 p.m., and if you score a ticket (you're allowed one guest, by the way), then you'll get to nosh on bites from some pretty awesome restaurants.
And, of course, there's no such thing as a party without libations, so several local wineries, breweries and distilleries will be on hand to make sure you're sufficiently lubricated.
We'll post all the winners' names tomorrow morning with information about how to claim your tickets.
Our first question asked you to name your favorite Colorado produce and tell us where you get it; question No. 2 asked about your favorite Colorado beers; question No. 3 had everything to do with Colorado wines; and yesterday's question focused on Colorado farmers' markets and farm stands. (Thanks, by the way, to all of you who made recommendations!)
Our final question is this: At which EatDenver restaurant are you most excited to visit during Harvest Week, and why?
Ready, set, go!
