This week on Cafe Society, Gretchen Kurtz visited a Denver icon, the long-standing Barolo Grill. Mark Antonation talked to Kevin Grossi of Lola Mexican Fish House for Chef and Tell. And our quest for great barbecue in Denver culminated with our list of the ten best BBQ spots in town.

Also this week, Antonation ate Mako shark tacos -- netting a sea of comments, both favorable and fishy. We released our first edition of the GABF calendar of events -- and even Denver International Airport became a place to eat, drink and be berry, announcing it was opening a temporary beer garden in the main terminal. Still on the beer beat, we visited Cask and Craft, a shop that opened last month in LoHi.

ALSO OPENING THIS WEEK: Dae Gee, 827 Colorado Boulevard

Mercantile Dining & Provision, 1701 Wynkoop Street

MOD Pizza, 8225 South Chester Street, Englewood

TEMPORARILY CLOSING THIS WEEK:

Odelay Tacos, 3014 East Colfax Avenue (reopening this weekend under new owners)
