Plenty of restaurants around town are hosting holiday dinners, but if you miss out on the festivities and you're stuck without leftovers the day after Christmas, where do you turn? Thankfully, Argyll Whisky Beer is staying true to its British theme by offering a Boxing Day feast on December 26 to extend the merriment into the weekend.

Chef Joe Seeds, who signed on with Argyll in October, is putting together a thoroughly English menu in honor of Boxing Day, the traditional holiday when servants celebrate their own Christmas with gifts from their employers. For $35 per person, you'll get chicken tikka skewers served on a salad of wild field greens and a choice of shepherd's pie with Yorkshire pudding, beef Wellington or a vegetable gratin. But that's not all; for dessert, Seeds is serving a traditional dessert called spotted dick, a steamed pudding studded with dried fruits and drizzled with a custardy sauce. Argyll's version of the dessert is served in a tin can — in part because spotted dick is typically cylindrical and in part as a playful nod to the canned Heinz product.

There will also be Boxing Day beer bomber specials like Boulevard Saison Brett for $10, Almanac Golden Gose for $13 and Firestone Walker Double DBA for $20. Check Argyll's OpenTable page for reservation times.
