Rosenberg recently partnered with Laura Rice to open StrEAT Chefs, a tricked-out Airstream trailer that cruises Boulder, serving gourmet street food like tortas and banh mi. Eventually, the two want to start up trucks in other college towns.
Rosenberg's presentation will be part of the Beer and Food Pavilion at the festival, which takes place September 16-18 at the Colorado Convention Center. A brewer, possibly Adam Avery of Avery Brewing in Boulder, will provide the beer, says festival director Nancy Johnson.
"We were thrilled that he wanted to do something with us," she says.
Tickets to the annual event -- the nation's largest consumer craft beer festival -- went on sale last week and are already more than 40 percent sold out.In recent years, the festival has focused more and more on pairing food with beer, and the 2010 GABF will continue that trend with the Beer and Food Pavilion and the Farm to Table Pavilion, featuring nine breweries pairing beer with twelve dishes.
"That is the direction I'm trying to take the festival, elevating the image of craft beer," Johnson says.
