Denver-based Mad Greens is ready to conquer Fort Collins. On January 12, the company dropped $675,000 on a former Waffle House building at 616 South College Avenue, which will be its second location in that town.

Mad Greens opened its first Fort Collins spot at 2120 East Harmony Road a few years ago. According to Mad Greens CEO Marley Hodgson, "Fort Collins has embraced" the concept. So when the Waffle House space opened up, the company jumped on it, and planned a major renovation for March.

Hodgson says that two or three more locations will open in the next fourteen months, for a total of twelve in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins.
