A new restaurant from a familiar name opened at the end of 2015 in Park Hill. Desmond is the creation of chef Sean Kelly; Gretchen Kurtz talked to him about the last thirty years of the Denver dining scene as well as what it's like to finally be running a restaurant in his own neighborhood.

Also this week, Mark Antonation took a walk in the Golden Triangle neighborhood, stopping at Torchy's Tacos and Quijote's Mexican Grill to sample breakfast tacos and other fare at both joints. In brewery news, Jonathan Shikes delved into the controversy behind the selection of a new brewery and restaurant slated to open inside the Westin Hotel at Denver International Airport.

Otherwise, it was a slow week for restaurant openings and closings. Here's our complete list of openings and reopenings for the week, not including Monday. (For February's action, see our month-end restaurant roll call.)

Westfax Brewing, 6601 West Colfax Avenue
