Oasis Bar and Hookah Lounge now serving Colombian food
It's located in an unlikely spot, but there's a new Colombian kitchen on the scene, serving up specialties from that Latin American country for lunch and dinner seven days a week. La Cocina de Paula is now cooking inside the Oasis Bar and Hookah Lounge, 1523 Market Street.
When Ashraaf Saad took over Oasis a year ago, he originally offered a Mediterranean menu with his bar business. But last month, he decided to let La Cocina de Paula take over, offering Colombiaqn cuisine. And at the same time, he changed the name of the bar to Oasis Bar and Hookah Lounge from Oasis Mediterranean Grill & Bar.
Though part of the same space, La Cocina runs on different hours than the bar, providing a new Latin American option for LoDo's sizable lunch crowd. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and the bar is open from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. Tuesday though Sunday.
