Reader: Denver Doesn't Need Any More Chain Restaurants and Bars
Colorado's original Rusty Bucket, on South Wadsworth Boulevard, has been pouring for years.
Last week the developer of the apartment complex being built on the former United Way property in LoHi reported that the ground floor will boast the first Colorado link in the Ohio-based Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern chain, with at least two more coming to metro Denver. But wait! There's already a Rusty Bucket Bar & Grill on South Wadsworth Boulevard, and it's definitely no relation.
I love the Rusty Bucket in Lakewood! I used to go there all the time! That place has a charm that you can only find in a real divey neighborhood bar and grill. What we don't need is any more chain restaurant/bars. There's already too many TGI McFunsters everywhere you go.
What's your favorite neighborhood bar and grill in metro Denver? Your favorite dive?
