Cook Street School of Culinary Arts is providing an essential tool for your cooking repertoire with a knife skills class tonight at 6 p.m. You'll learn how to select the proper knife, use it without any gruesome mangling, care for it effectively and enjoy the results over a fine meal. Spots are going for $89 a pop, sign up on the Cook Street site.

La Biblioteca, the cozy tequila bar in Riverfront Park, is continuing its Thursday Meet the Makers series. Tonight the bad boys of California-based distillers Agave Underground will be stopping by to share free tastings of their tequilas. You can also buy a special drink made with Agave Underground spirits.
