Denver just got another Dunkin' Donuts when a second location opened this morning at Denver International Airport -- this one inside DIA, at the center of the A Concourse. Unlike the Final Approach spot, which offers 24/7 drive-through service when the waiting facility is closed, the Concourse A location will be open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

"Dunkin' Donuts has proven to be popular with our customers, as more than 7,200 donuts are being sold every day at the Final Approach location," said Kim Day, Denver's Manager of Aviation, in a statement announcing the opening. "We are excited to welcome a second Dunkin' Donuts location inside the airport, which is part of our ongoing effort to bring better variety and a mix of national and local brands to our passengers."

That effort isn't limited to doughnuts, of course. More memorable additions to the DIA dining scene this year included an outpost of Elway's and a high-flying version of Root Down.

This is the fifth Dunkin' Donuts to open in a new wave of franchises coming to the metro area; a few holdouts from previous colonies are still scattered around Colorado.
