Second Home Kitchen and Bar, the restaurant at 150 Clayton Lane in the JW Marriott, is starting off the new year with daily dishes, a new lunch deal and two new menus "with a greater focus on using locally purchased products," according to exec chef Jeff Bolton. "For this winter menu, we definitely focused on using as many local products as possible to create warm, bold flavors," says Bolton, who's added several new starters, sliders, main dishes and sides (tater tots!) -- to his board.
The kitchen is is also turning out daily blue plate specials -- BBQ baby back ribs with jalapeno coleslaw, rotisserie leg of lamb with grilled asparagus and Maine lobster boils with buttered corn and fingerling potatoes -- plus a family-style Sunday supper.
During the lunch crush, those in a rush can take advantage of Second Home's "Lunch in a Second Program," which includes an oven baked sandwich of the day, house salad, choice of soup and non-alcoholic beverage for $12.
