Details are finally coming in on the Simms Steakhouse redo. According to the announcement, the restaurant "is now splashed with deep hues of red, turquoise, green and brown and adorned with unique lighting, creating a sleek new ambience with a modern, yet welcoming feel." (Judging from the photo above, the feel is a little tent-like.)

When the restaurant opens today at 4 p.m., there will be indoor and outdoor dining (from a menu that includes steak and seafood and the "soon to be famous" souffle bread), as well as indoor and outdoor seating in the Sixth Avenue Lounge, which will feature specialty drinks, a bar menu and "Denver's Famous View."

"The Simms Steakhouse experience is about the food, the atmosphere and incredible service," Anthony Hensley, general manager, pronounces in today's release. "We are excited to unveil the new steakhouse with an upscale ambiance and distinctive new menu, creating the ultimate iconic dining destination in Denver."

Simms Steakhouse will be open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. On Sunday, it will be serving an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Find more info at www.simmssteakhouse.com.
