Summer Brew Fest and Beers for Books

Summer Brew Fest and Beers for Books

It's beer season! And if you plan your night right, you could hit both of these brewtastic events:

Crimson & Gold Tavern, 2017 South University Boulevard, will host Beers for Books: A Room to Read Fundraiser, starting at 6 p.m. One dollar from every beer purchase will buy a local-language book for a child in a developing nation; you can do good while enjoying a pig roast (free pulled pork!) and vying for raffle prizes. For more information, go to www.roomtoread.org.

And Mile High Station, 2027 West Colfax Avenue, will present the Summer Brew Fest, featuring dozens of breweries pouring more than 125 different brews, plus live music. It runs from 6 to 10 p.m. for VIP, 7 to 10 p.m. for general admission, and costs $30 to $45; visit www.denverbrewfest.com.
