Friday, August 15

Wine vs. beer? The question could be settled tonight, when Range will hold a five-course wine and beer dinner featuring wine from Infinite Monkey Theorem and beer from Former Future Brewing. The battle begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $90; call 720-726-4800 to make reservations.

MCA Denver will host live music tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 after 5 p.m. and free for museum members. For more information, visit mcadenver.org.

Flavors of Colorado will be cooking all weekend in Avon Colorado. The event will feature plenty of food, drinks, art and live music, and admission is free. For events and times click here.

Cruise Around the World in 80 Wines for a good cause tonight at the Wellshire Event Center starting at 6 p.m. This wine tasting and silent auction will feature over eighty wines from around the globe, a silent and a live auction, dinner and guest speakers. The evening benefits the Gateway Battered Women's Services; tickets are $100 per person or $180 for two; get yours here.

Saturday, August 16

The 2014 Taste of Highlands will take over Highlands Square from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight. The event will feature specialty food merchants, live music by local favorites Hayward Strangers, a beer and wine garden and dish samples, of course. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door (if available), $50 for VIP; kids under ten get in free. For tickets and more information, visit highlands-square.com.

Three Leaf Farm will be holding a vegetarian farm dinner starting at 6 p.m. tonight. Chef Rachel Best of Leaf Vegetarian Restaurant will prepare a four-course meal using in-season produce as well as eggs from the farm's flock of free-range Rhode Island Reds. Reservations are $85 a seat; grab yours here.

Sunday, August 17

The Incredible, Edible Gluten-Free Food Fair takes over the Denver Mart from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The fair will showcase beer, bread, desserts, snacks and much more -- and it's all gluten-free. Admission is free, but there will be a $5 parking fee. For more information, click here.
